The Miracle of Birth

Today while we were up at my Mom's house, we decided to visit Qualicum Cheeseworks. Evan could live on cheese alone, so we thought it was right up his alley to sample all the different cheese they make. While we were getting a tour of the cheese making process one of the workers told us that a goat had just had a baby and another was on the way. The boys and I were glued to the fencepost awaiting the arrival of the baby goat. The momma goat was totally calm licking her first born when she decided the time had come. She layed on the ground and effortlessly out popped her baby. It was amazing to see! Within about 10 minutes of arriving in our world the goats tested their wobbly legs and wandered over to their momma with tails wagging. This was definately the highlight of our trip!
