On the way back from our road trip, the boys and I stayed a few days at my Dad's house. They live in a beautiful rural setting in Sooke, BC. One of the things the boys love to do at their house is spent hours in the pool swimming with their dog Molly. But this time during our stay the neighbourhood pets were more on the wild side. Each evening as Val was feeding her duck the deer would come and eat the feed right at the gate. As long as you didn't give any eye contact the deer would stand at your side. It was amazing to see something so wild up close. I think this is a memory the boys will have for quite some time.
